Dismal April? I think not...

Sure the Yankees didn't end the first month of the season in 1st place, and I am sure that a lot of Yankees fans are more than disappointed with the way the first month ended, but let's not forget, the Yankees only played 11 games at home. They set a Major League record for road games in 1 month, and they still managed to put together a 14-16 record for the month. Since then, they are 2-1, and finally showing signs of life despite some key injuries to their starting line-up.

A-rod is on the 15 day DL with a strained hamstring, Posada is on the 15 day DL with shoulder problems, and most recently, Phil Hughes landed on the 15 day DL with a fractured rib. Let's not forget, there are still 130 games left in the season. There is still plenty of time for the team to turn it around. Going forward, the tean will have a much more balanced schedule. They will be spending just as much time in the Bronx, as they will be on the road. The season is just getting started everyone! Let's sit back, relax, and watch it all unfold.
