Girardi: Wang likely to start opening day
According to Yankees.com, Girardi stated that Wang will most likely start Opening Day at Yankee Stadium on March 31 vs. the Blue Jays. This coming after the Yankees 9-3 win over the Phillies in spring training acion. With the Yankees rotation set as it is, this is definitely the best decision for the team. Thankfully, at the start of this season, Carl Pavano will NOT be on the hill. Despite Wang's falling apart in the ALDS in 2007 against the Indians, Wang has been the most consistent starting pitcher for the Yanks over the last two seasons.
